Tyne Valley Oyster Festival
July 29th – August 4th
The Tyne Valley Oyster Festival combines the community’s two major events: the Rock the Boat Music Festival and The Canadian Oyster Shucking Championship. The Oyster Shucking Championship is an unforgettable event, being the only official qualifier in Canada for the World Championships. With many more events including family nights, singing contests, a soap box derby, the Miss Oyster Pearl Pageant, and an oyster-themed street parade, The Tyne Valley Oyster Festival is sure to offer a memorable experience for everyone in the family.
Island Fringe Festival
July 31st – August 4th
Supporting independent artists while creating opportunities for communities to experience boundary-pushing theatre and live performances, the annual Island Fringe Performing Arts Festival unites artists and audiences in fun, exploratory environments. Artists from Prince Edward Island, across Canada, and beyond will showcase comedy, dance, drama, puppetry and more.
Cloggeroo – The Island Folk Festival
August 9th – 11th
Experience Prince Edward Island’s top outdoor music venue at Georgetown’s stunning waterfront and enjoy musical talent from a wide variety of folk-inspired artists. Cloggeroo’s 2024 musical lineup includes The Sadies, Jake Clemons, Monkeyjunk, Dave Sampson, Jah’Mila, and many more.
Old Home Week – PEI’s Family Fun Fair
August 9th – 17th
Old Home Week is an annual celebration of the Island’s deep agricultural roots and its rich history of harness racing. With world-class entertainment, exciting midway and attractions, and agricultural and family farm-based customs of years past, Old Home Week is one of the most anticipated events each year on Prince Edward Island. As a culmination of Old Home Week, the Gold Cup and Saucer Race is considered one of the most celebrated harness racing events in Eastern Canada.
Gran Fondo PEI
August 23rd – 25th
Gran Fondo PEI is a three-day cycling event cruising through the beautiful vistas of Prince Edward Island. This iconic cycling event is designed for both recreational and enthusiastic cyclists who are looking for an epic weekend of riding, food, and camaraderie. The carefully selected cycling routes are filled with idyllic views, iconic rolling hills, and coastal cliffs. This is truly a must-ride event for cycling fanatics.
Sommo Festival
September 13th – 14th
Sommo is a two-day celebration of music, food, and drink in the beachside town of Cavendish. Sommo welcomes some of the biggest musical artists from around the world, across Canada, and in the Atlantic region. Everything from Rock to Folk-Pop, Sommo’s 2024 musical lineup includes Noah Kahan, Greta Van Fleet, Maren Morris, The Beaches Talk, Half Moon Run, and many more.
PEI International Shellfish Festival
September 19th – 22nd
The Prince Edward Island International Shellfish Festival brings together the freshest shellfish, top culinary talents, and East Coast entertainment in a four-day festival packed with culinary demos, celebrity chefs, delicious dining experiences, the best of the best seafood chowder and oyster shucking competitions, and Atlantic Canada’s biggest East Coast kitchen party.
PEI Fall Flavours Festival

The Prince Edward Island Fall Flavours Food & Drink Festival is a two-week celebration of Canada’s Food Island, taking place in communities across the Island during the fall harvest season. Over the past 15 years it has grown to become an award-winning, internationally reputed-culinary festival.

Charlottetown Festival

As Confederation Centre of the Arts celebrates 60 years in 2024, it will present six productions across three venues at The Charlottetown Festival. Don’t miss the legendary musicals Jersey Boys and Anne of Green Gables–The Musical™ at Sobey Family Theatre, the Centre’s main stage. At The Mack, catch the exhilarating cabaret show Becoming Dolly or the Island-inspired comedy 70 Mile Yard Sale. The Outdoor Amphitheatre will bring lively dance and music to downtown Charlottetown with Rhythms and Stories of the Red Earth and Island Steps.
Watermark Theatre Summer Festival

Located in the community of North Rustico, The Watermark Theatre is a professional theatre company that produces time-honoured plays, as well as contemporary plays that resonate with our times. The Watermark Theatre Summer Festival is proud to present the hilarious romantic comedy Same Time, Next Year by Canadian playwright Bernard Slade, as well as the stage version of Stephen King’s thriller Misery adapted by William Goldman.
Under the Spire Music Festival

An annual summer concert series running from June through September each year, Under the Spire honours its storied history while forging new traditions and growing rural arts and culture on Prince Edward Island. The Harmony House Music Hall is a beautiful 140-seat theatre and serves as an integral part of the Hunter River Community. After a sold-out run in 2023, Harmony House is bringing back The 27 Club this summer. From Janis Joplin to Jimi Hendrix, Kurt Cobain to Amy Winehouse, the list of iconic artists who died at the age of 27 is one of pop culture’s enduring mysteries. Join as they investigate and celebrate the phenomenon that is – The 27 Club. In Harmony House’s unique interpretive style, they’ve reviewed Leonard Cohen’s songbook catalogue to create an experience that will bring the soul of Leonard Cohen alive. Come remember and celebrate one of the best, in Harmony House’s Leonard Cohen Songbook.
Highland Storm at The College of Piping
